Jacob Shearer

I have been playing guitar since 2005, and have been a continuous student of music and the guitar since then. During that time I have gone to school for music, I have taught music, and I have sought out private lessons to continue learning. In 2019 I began teaching others as my full time vocation. Through this I discovered a joy for teaching. I was a full time teacher for 5 years, but have never stopped teaching. Being able to impart the joy of music to others is a beautiful endeavor. Over the last 6 years I have taught dozens of different students of all ages. Most of those students remained as weekly students with me being their teacher for years at a time. I have been playing guitar and unofficially teaching at church for over 12 years. Regardless of where my full time occupation may take me, I fully intend to continue to teach what I have learned to the other students around me. I fully believe that we all need to remain students no matter how far we progress in a field. I love teaching music almost as much as I love being a student of music.
